The palace of Sanssouci
- located in Potsdam (Germany) -
arose from the desire of
the Prussian King Frederick, the Great (18th century), to have a place to enjoy the summer in a way

and Voltaire, considered his intellectual father,
was bestowed with an exclusive
room with exotic decor.
Like other palaces of the time, Sanssouci has an elegant garden, where Frederick now rests on the upper terrace, as was his last wish.
The complex – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – also includes terraced vineyards,
beautiful sculptures
and a central fountain with swans,
who can enjoy a "sans souci" life.
